The musical stage adaptation of “Calamity Jane” is a comedic, non-historical take on the story of the frontierswoman Calamity Jane, focusing on her relationship with Wild Bill Hickok. The plot centres on a fabricated romance between the two, initially presented as a facade, that ultimately blossoms into mutual affection. The musical, based on the 1953 Doris Day film of the same name, includes six songs not the film.
Performed at Benalla Town Hall.
