Child Safety
Benalla Theatre Company is a Child Safe organisation.
Please be supportive and mindful so we can keep children who are involved in our company safe. Please find our policy here. Transporting of Children
One of the parts of our policy is that anyone who volunteers to transport children (people under the age of 18) to or from rehearsal, must have a current Working With Children Check and there are two adults in the vehicle. Also the parents of any children involved in our productions MUST sign a form giving permission for their children to be transported by members of the company.
Working with Children Check
If you already have a current Working With Children Check and are prepared to help get young people to and from rehearsals or other company activities, we will need to sight and keep a record of the Working With Children Check.
The really great thing is that from 5 December 2016, the cost of getting a volunteer WWCC done will be free. The cost was in the taking of the photographs, but now that fee has been waived, which is wonderful news. All of our committee, directors, musical directors, stage managers and some other selected jobs will have to have a current WWCC.
